Toss has become such a big part of my everyday life.
From app-based finance hacks to counting my daily steps, even stock trading —
this little app covers so much of my day.
One day, Toss launched a “Shopping” category.
At first, I didn’t pay much attention.
It was filled with products I didn’t particularly want,
so I mostly just glanced at it and moved on.
But over time, more and more brands started joining.
Before I knew it, I found myself checking it more seriously.
It’s funny —
when you look at something every day,
you naturally get better at catching small shifts and trends.
After step counting, my next favorite feature was the “Raise a Cat” game.
I would diligently log in, watch ads, and collect snacks and toys.
Honestly, it started feeling a bit like labor.
But being the type who has to finish what I start,
I obsessed over it every single day without skipping once.
Then one day, the snack choices started disappearing,
and eventually, there was nothing left worth picking.
And you know what?
It felt oddly refreshing.
Finally, a sense of freedom!
Maybe I should thank all the virtual cats
who happily devoured those snacks along the way.
After giving up on the cat game,
I started browsing the Toss Shopping section more often.
I had been keeping an eye on Binggrae’s Acafela Simply Coffee,
watching the price rise and fall,
when I stumbled upon something that looked very similar.
It was the Barista Rules Grande No-Label Decaf Americano & Latte.
At first, I thought it was another Binggrae product —
the packaging looked almost identical, and the flavors were similar.
But it turned out to be made by Maeil Dairies!
Acafela Simply Coffee: 400ml
Barista Rules Grande Coffee: 350ml
A bit smaller in size,
but the price was just right,
so I ordered both the Americano and the Latte versions.
When the package arrived, I dove right in.
The Latte was sweeter than expected —
a rich, almost sticky kind of sweetness.
The Decaf Americano had a clean taste,
lacking the nutty notes that Binggrae’s version usually has.
They were light, easy-drinking coffees,
perfect for keeping chilled in the fridge
or pouring over ice on a warm day.
I’m even thinking of freezing a few for my next hiking trip!
Now it’s a habit —
whenever I find something on Toss,
I automatically compare prices with Coupang before buying.
Especially the products listed under “Today’s Deal” —
they’re often significantly discounted compared to regular days.
Definitely worth keeping an eye on.
This time, for the first time ever,
I missed the expiration date on the Toss snack coupons.
It would be great if they extended the validity a bit —
maybe at least a month?
Just a little wish from a loyal user!
